Instructional Designer

Job description

The Instructional Designer role focuses on creating and delivering innovative, scalable learning solutions for trainers and operational staff, ensuring they align with organizational goals, learner needs, and established instructional design principles.

KEY RESULT AREAS

1. Design and development of learning materials
- Responsible for designing and developing modular, impactful learning resources for global application, aligned with organizational standards and learner requirements, in partnership with Senior Trainers and the L&D Specialist.

Required knowledge:

• Adult learning principles

• Instructional and visual design principles

• Accessibility and inclusivity standards

• Learning technologies and LMS configuration

• Evaluation and assessment methodologies Learning and development best practices, trends, and innovations.
  
  2. Evaluation and continuous improvement
  - Measure learning effectiveness and continuously improve learning solutions based on data and feedback.

Required knowledge:

• Learning evaluation models

• Assessment design and validation principles

• Data analysis and interpretation of learning metrics

• Continuous improvement methodologies
  
  3. Stakeholder collaboration
  - Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure learning solutions meet operational priorities, performance expectations, and strategic needs.

Required knowledge:

• Stakeholder management and consultation techniques

• Business process understanding within an operational environment

• Change management principles

• Project management techniques and tools

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Must have:

·        1-2 years of experience as an Instructional Designer

·        Bachelor’s Degree in an L&D related field

·        Current knowledge of emergent L&D trends

Nice to have:

·        Experience with AI design

·        Experience with Easy Generator

·        Exposure to PowerBI for reporting
